Boston, MA September 2018: ExpressIt Delivery has named Operations Veteran Ryan Powers as Senior Vice President of Operations.

“This past year, ExpressIt Delivery launched an extensive search that spanned the entire Northeast looking for a candidate that held both a strong operational background as well as strong leadership skills to join our fast-growing company.  As soon as we met Ryan, we knew that his background, work ethic and expertise perfectly aligned with our needs.  We are extremely excited Ryan has joined our ExpressIt family and are confident that our founder and father, Michael Shaughnessy would have been equally excited to welcome Ryan aboard ” said Danielle Carter, Co-Owner.

Before coming on board, Powers spent the last 12 years at UPS where he excelled in various positions, most notably making major impacts in their Industrial Engineering and Operations Excellence departments.  In his most recent role as head of the Northeast District Transportation Engineering department, Powers successfully facilitated the exchange of information across multiple work groups to create efficiencies through optimization and standardization.

“Ryan’s strong leadership skills can be attributed to a unique combination of business acumen and interpersonal skills.  We are thrilled to have him on board and know that his experience, innovative thinking and leadership skills will not only help drive ExpressIt’s profitability and growth but also enhance our team culture; something that is very important to Danielle and I.” said, Andi Shaughnessy, Co-Owner.

Powers, who will be based out of both ExpressIt’s Nashua and Boston offices said, “I am very excited to be coming on board with ExpressIt Delivery. The opportunity to work with this enthusiastic team and to be a part of the company’s continued growth and success was exactly what I was looking for as the next step in my career. ExpressIt’s model of providing industry leading service is only achieved through hard work from a dedicated staff and I look forward to contributing to that group.”
